Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr K. Zarbaliyeva / A preparatory sitting on complaint by MP Jalal Aliyev against the Editor-in-Chief of The Mukhalifat newspaper, Rovshan Kabirli, and a correspondent of the newspaper, Yashar Aghazadeh, was held on 2 April in the Yasamal District Court under chairmanship of the Judge Malahat Abdulmanafova. The trial has been scheduled on 9 April.
MP states that his honor was insulted by the "AMAY is a Trademark of the Aliyevs" article published on 24 February and 3 March. Aliyev demanded to institute legal proceedings against the Editor-in-Chief and the author of the article according to Articles 147.1 and 147.2 (slander).
