Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corrK. Zarbaliyeva / Ramiz Rzayev, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Supreme Court, has appealed to President Ilham Aliyev with a request to approve the staff of assistants to judges of the Supreme Court of the Country. The Head of the Azerbaijani State has submitted corresponding draft legislation to the Milli Majlis ( Azerbaijan's Parliament) to solve this issue, a source in the Supreme Court has said today.
The source also said that despite the fact that the Bill - "On Courts and Judges" stipulated the opening of the staff of assistants to the judges, they have had none of them. The persons, who will take these seats, will be considered as state employees.
The Azerbaijani Parliament is expected to make a decision on the mentioned issue in the near time.
Notably, a totally 28 judges are currently employed in the Azerbaijan Supreme Court.
