Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr. I. Alizadeh / Ogtay Samadov, the Deputy Director of the State Agency for Copyrights Reservations, reported on 13 April that 24 April is announced as the Day of Copyrights Reservation.
According to Samadov, 20 persons will be issued a license on different copyright subjects on that day. Amongst them will be history student, Yagub Mahmoudov (copyright for a book dedicated Western Azerbaijan), MP Elton Mammadov (copyright for a technical science book), Elza Seyidjahan and Tunzala Aghayeva (copyrights for musical compositions), writer Ali Amirli, TV journalist, Gulu Maharramov.
Samadov stated that in order to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) the Agency had developed 10 programs and submitted them to the Cabinet of Ministers.
One of the demands put for Azerbaijan by the WTO is to develop the programs on the activities of state bodies.
