Azerbaijani MP Passes Neurosurgery Examination
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / MP Huseyn Abdulayev, has passed neurosurgery examination. The head of the Penitentiary Service, Rafik Ramazanov, reported on 25 April that the neurosurgeon, who had been invited to the patient care institution of the prison, had not revealed any serious health problems during the check-up of Abdullayev, however, some raptures in his spine were found out. The MP had caught the disease before the detention. Abdullayev has been prescribed a 20-day medical treatment.
Abdullayev's immunity of a deputy was annulled during the irregular sitting of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) held on 19 March. He was detained on the same day.
The Investigation Department on Heinous Crimes instituted criminal proceedings with respect to Abdullayev in compliance with Articles 132 (assault and battery) and 221.2.2 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. The investigation is in progress.
