Zarbaliyeva / As a result of a joint operation held by the employees of the Human Trafficking Enforcement Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry and the Central Department of Transport Police of Azerbaijan a woman involved in trafficking was detained. According to the data provided by the Ministry on 17 April, a Baku resident Gunel Aliyeva, who had entered a criminal conspiracy and had been in search due to transportation of women to Turkey for sexual exploitation, was detained in the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted on the occasion. The investigation identifies the crime affiliations and establishes the identities of the victims.
