Candidates Successful in Bar Association Exams Interviewed
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliev/ Farhad Najafov, the Deputy Chairman of the Bar Association of Azerbaijan, reported on 7 May that nine candidates, who were successful in Bar exams in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) on May 4, were interviewed and out of those eight applicants were selected.
According to Najafov, applicants who failed in the second round of exams will have to pass exams in Baku beginning on 8 May.
On 4 May 4, 299 candidates out of a total of 441 scored 50 points and obtained a pass to the next round of exams.
The State Commission on Student Admissions consists of eleven people; five Lawyers, three Scientists and three Judges. The Bar Association of Azerbaijan has 540 members. Azerbaijan occupies one of the last places in Europe for its number of lawyers.
