The Flags Of Our Fathers actor has demanded that child visitation should be 'equally allocated', People reports. However, Phillippe has neither asked for any spousal support from the Legally Blonde star, nor is he denying her from requesting any from him. The couple has two children, daughter Ava Elizabeth, born on September 9, 1999, and son Deacon Reese, born on October 23, 2003.
On October 30, 2006, Witherspoon and Phillippe announced that they have decided to formally separate after seven years of marriage. The actress filed for divorce, on November 8, 2006, citing 'irreconcilable differences'. In her petition she sought joint legal custody of their two children and sole physical custody, with visitation for Phillippe. She also wanted 'exclusive use of the family residence'.
