Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / Bahram Khalilov, the head of the Commission on State Service Issues at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, stated on 31 May that the Commission would develop rules to assess activities of State officials.

The corresponding operations have been held after introducing changes in the Law on State Service.

In compliance with the changes, the activities of State officials will be assessed at the end of every year.

State officials had been assessed every five year in compliance with the previous law.

"We are trying to incorporate a universal practice, which means annually assessing the work of officials," Khalilov noted.

The main purpose of the changes, introduced to the Law, is to assess the liabilities of State officials. The results are considered in the attestation of State officials.

The assessment of service activities is being held by the Commission.
