Azerbaijan, Sheki / Trend corr. E.Guliyev / The new medical center has been put into commission in the Zakatala region of Azerbaijan through the financial support of the United States Agency of International Development USAID.
Scott Teylor, the representative of USAID to Azerbaijan, stated on 1 June that AZN 10,000 was spent on the reconstruction of the center.
The organization headed by Teylor has implemented a range of projects to improve medical care and increased competitiveness amongst centers in regions.
Since1992 USAID has been allocated $284mln and in 2007 the sum of $23mln to implement different projects in Azerbaijan. $10mln is allocated to develop economic projects, $10mln for democratic developments and $3mln for health.
