The Working Group which was formed to settle the issues relating to mutual TV broadcasting includes the representatives of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the Justice Ministry, Communications and IT Ministry, National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting and the AzTV Channel.
Jabiyev reported on the importance of broadcasting the Azerbaijani TV channel to reach 72% of Russia which was indicated in the package of proposals. The suggestion will be discussed during the meeting of Azerbaijani and Russian Working Groups to be held soon.

By the decision of the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting made at the beginning of January, broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Azerbaijan was to be stopped on 10 July. The Russians opposed the decision and the problem was discussed during the recent visit of the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, to Azerbaijan.
