Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / The 170 candidates for attorney positions, who have already passed exams, have been interviewed. According to the Bar of Azerbaijan Republic, 134 candidates were recommended for the positions.
A source at the Bar noted that it would be impossible to complete the interviews in a month. Several members of the Exam Commission will not be able to take part in the interviews for good reasons. The interviews have been postponed to July.
Out of 441 candidates, who had passed exams for membership to the Bar, 299 candidates with over fifty points were enabled to take part in the next part of the competition.
The interview commission includes eleven members, with five attorneys, three scientists, and three judges.
The Bar of Azerbaijan Republic includes 540 members. Azerbaijan takes one of the last places in Europe on the number of human rights activists.
