Heat Wave in Europe Not to Affect Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynli / Imran Mammaov, the Alternate Director of the Meteorology Broadcasting Bureau of the National Meteorology Department at the Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, stated on 27 June that the extreme heat felt by most European countries would not affect Azerbaijan.

According to Mammadov, temperatures in Azerbaijan, by the end of June and the beginning of July will be cool.

The country's maximum temperature during the week will be 32C. Showers with thunderstorms are expected.

More than thirty people died as a result of the heat wave in Europe.

Weather forecasts predict that by the end of the week, temperatures will rise by several more degrees. Temperatures in many European countries, as well as in Turkey rose to 40C.

Citizens of Istanbul, Izmir and Bursa ( Turkey) suffering from health conditions, were given temporary leave from their jobs. And educational institutions declared themselves closed for holidays due to the irregular heat.

The heat wave in Greece, Italy, Romania, and other European countries caused forest fires.
