International Medical Society to Join Azerbaijani and Russian Doctors

Russia, Moscow / corr. Trend R.Agayev / The first meeting of the International Medical Society at the Coordinative Council of Azerbaijani Youth (CCAY) was held in Moscow.

The first meeting united some 40 students and doctors from different areas in medicine. The organizers are planning to establish a structure including doctors of Azerbaijan and Russia in the near future.

The participants of the meeting unanimously decided to achieve the following goals: to hold conferences aimed at improvement of medical care in Azerbaijan, to increase the level of professional medical specialists, to render assistance to students and doctors, to improve their experience on the basis of upgrading medical centres and institutions, consultations, diagnostic and medical assistance on the basis of Russian medical institutions, to exchange experience by way of holding meetings and to expand scientific literature and video taped films.

There will also be informative intermediary work among enterprising producers of medical products and their users in health institutions of Azerbaijan, aim to improve medical services in Azerbaijan to bring medical care up to world standards, to attract foreign medical specialists to Azerbaijan, as well sending specialists to medical institutions and medical centres of Europe and the United States for extra training.

The participants of the meeting decided to create a website for the project, which will serve in exchange of information between countries. The next meeting is expected to be in the autumn. The meeting will be headed by specialists, professors and academicians of Moscow hospitals.
