Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Anne E. Derse, submitted a set of proposals to the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Elmira Suleymanova, to resolve the problems that may appear during the implementation of the National Action Plan on the protection of human rights which was approved in Azerbaijan.
According to the information provided by the Ombudsman office press service, the document was presented during the meeting of the Ambassador with the Ombudsman. The proposals include the fight against corruption, the conduct of political reforms and free elections, freedom of press, legal enlightenment of population and other issues.
Suleymanova said that a working group has been established to discuss the National Acton Plan with the executors of the document, State bodies, NGOs, legal clinics and media representatives.
