Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / Interviews with the candidates who had passed exams to fill the vacancies for attorney positions have been completed in Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijani Bar, Farhad Najafov, reported on 12 July that 241 out of 299 lawyers interviewed were recommended for attorney positions with two further candidates still to be interviewed at a later time. According to Najafov, those who were recommended will be admitted to the Bar in August. Najafov noted that the documents for a new round will be admitted in Autumn.
Of the 441 candidates, 299 were interviewed. During the examinations they had collected 50 and more points.
The Bar of Azerbaijan Republic unites 547 members. After admission of new lawyers, the membership will amount to 800. As for the number of attorneys Azerbaijan occupies one of the last places in Europe.
