Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Huseynli / Meetings of the Pardon Commission at the Administration of Azerbaijani President aimed at the signing of another pardon order will be continued, a member of the Pardon Commission, Vagif Samadoghlu, reported on 23 July. Over 100 appeals have been considered so far.
According to Samadoghlu, the final list will be submitted to President Ilham Aliyev after his return from vacation.
According to another member of the Commission, Azay Guliyev, appeals of detained journalists are among the ones being considered.
Seven journalists are under detention in Azerbaijan.
Over 40 pardon orders have been signed in Azerbaijan so far, resulting in pardon of 4,378 people.
