Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr Z. Safarov / The captain of Azerbaijani national football team, Aslan Karimov, broke a new record on number of goals.
Earlier the record-holder was Tarlan Ahmadov, who had 75 games in the national team. Aslan achieved Ahmadov's level only completing his international carrier in June's selection match with Kazakhstan within the framework of European Championships and became the absolute record-breaker after a friendly game with Tajikistan in Dushanbe.
Karimov is one of the team's key players and in near future he will possibly improve his current position in the approaching control match with Georgia to take place in Baku, September.
