К.Zarbaliyeva / The editor of the Gundalik Azerbaijan newspaper (Daily Azerbaijan), Uzeir Jafarov, appealed to the Public Prosecutor's Office to take the Chief of the Centre for Protection of the Rights of Refugees and IDPs, Tatyana Chaladze to court. Jafarov told Trend Agency that Chaladze bought a document which confirms her being a war veteran.
Journalists stated that Chaladze was given two apartments by the Defense Ministry, one in Nasimi and the other in the Khatai districts of Baku.
Chaladze uses the apartment in the Nasimi district as an office, and Jafarov is asking that Nasimi and Khatai district courts investigate the fact.
Journalists noted that Chaladze was born in Russia and was illegally provided Azerbaijani citizenship.
Notably, on 20 April 2007, on a special accusatory suit brought forward by the Chief of the Centre for Protection of the Rights of Refugees and IDPs, Tatyana Chaladze, Mr. Fatullayev was accused of Article 147 of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic (libel and insult) and sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment on the very day.
Notably, Mr. Fatullayev was accused of insulting the honour and dignity of the residents of Khodjali in the recently-published article named "The Diary of Karabakh".
