Uzbekistan’s Hamkorbank increases net profit in 2017

Net profit of Uzbekistan’s Hamkorbank JSCB amounted to 137 billion soums in 2017, which is 11.7 percent more than in 2016, Olmahon Turajanova, deputy chairperson of the banks’ board, told Trend Jan. 26.

In particular, interest income grew 1.5 times in 2017 and reached 586 billion soums; interest-free income grew 27 percent to 395 billion soums, Turajanova said.

Assets of Hamkorbank JSCB grew 38.8 percent in 2017 and amounted to 5.6 trillion soums, she noted, adding that the bank’s loan portfolio grew 31.1 percent to 3.2 trillion soums.

Total capital of the bank grew 32.3 percent in 2017 and reached 573 billion soums, 77.4 billion soums of which accounted for the authorized capital, ensured by the placement of 542.5 million common and 18.5 million preferred shares.

Hamkorbank was founded in 1991. The bank’s head office is located in Andijan region.
