By Huseyn Hasanov– Trend:

The Turkmenabat Chemical Plant in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan significantly increased production of polyethylene pipes in the first quarter of this year, Trend reports with reference to the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.

The production volume in January-March 2019 amounted to about 20,000 tons, which significantly exceeds the total figures of the four quarters of last year, the report said.

The company also produces phosphate mineral fertilizers, sulfuric acid, aluminum sulphate for drinking water purification, technical and medical oxygen, water glass and other types of products.

In the coming years, the plant’s infrastructure in the city of Turkmenabat will expand. Consultations are underway with Japanese companies on the construction of a workshop for the production of phosphate fertilizers.

In general, the commissioning of a polymer complex in Kiyanly settlement, which supplies the raw materials for the production of polyethylene pipes with a wide range of applications, played key role in the development of production.
