The 5G networks are actively growing to open many new opportunities for the mobile industry, President of Huawei's Product Line Ritchie Peng said, Trend reports referring to the company's press service.

Peng made the remark at the ‘Huawei Pre-MWC Shanghai 2021’ online briefing.

According to Peng, the 5G networks continue to develop around the world, and the number of 5G users globally has reached 200 million, while a number of 5G base stations - 800,000.

“The overall user experience has been improved by more than tenfold, and entry-level 5G terminals are already available at a price as low as $350. The rapid growth of 5G networks is driven by the sustained innovations by telecom operators on services, new products, and applications from device producers, systems, algorithms, and solutions from system equipment vendors, as well as activity of industry customers on vertical applications market,” he added.

Besides, according to him, Huawei has proposed the ‘1+N’ 5G Target Network development strategy that will benefit all parties through sustained innovations and collaboration with customers.

“The future-oriented1+N’ 5G target network encompasses innovations for all frequency bands and scenarios, simplifying 5G networks that are built on one high-bandwidth foundation and supporting N capabilities,” the company’s press service said.

For improving N capabilities, Huawei aims to provide ultra-broadband, multi-sector, and multi-frequency solutions to help operators simplify 5G network deployment. In terms of network automation, Huawei seeks to provide corresponding solutions for the 5GtoH (5G to Home) and 5GtoB (5G to Business) markets while consolidating its position in the 5GtoC (5G to Consumer) market, helping operators fully realize 5G multi-dimensional capabilities and ensure the digital upgrade of various industries.

Besides, the press service pointed out that in the close future Huawei intends to further innovate in the ‘1+N’ target networks, which will help operators simplify 5G deployment and fully realize 5G capabilities, thus allowing to build a high-bandwidth, continuously-covering network.

“In 2021, Huawei will continue to improve Massive MIMO and BladeAAU Pro solutions, as well as ultra-broadband FDD Massive MIMO products,” stressed Peng.
