Over 200 services were connected to the Azerbaijani E-PUL platform during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Samir Nasibov, General Director of PAYSIS, which owns the E-PUL payment system, told Trend.

According to Nasibov, in 2020, such global brands of gas station networks as LUKOIL and SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) became new partners of the company.

“Thus, our service moved from e-commerce to retail. But we did not stop there. Today, negotiations are underway with some government agencies on the issue of integrating our payment methods into public services to optimize the time for serving citizens,” Nasibov said.

He also noted that at the moment, negotiations are underway with partner companies to connect more than 500 restaurants and shops to the service.

“This suggests that our users, after signing this contract, will be able to conduct 60 percent of their daily payments through our application,” said the CEO.
