Azerbaijan decreased import volume of pharmaceutical products from January through November 2021, Trend reports referring to the report of the State Statistics Committee (SCC).
According to the report, this indicator amounted to 19,900 tons, down by 733 tons (3.55 percent) on annual basis.
In the first 10 months of this year, the share of pharmaceutical products in total imports of Azerbaijan equaled 4.58 percent, while the import value of the products exceeded $477.14 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover amounted to $30.2 billion, up by over $7.4 billion (32.85 percent) compared to 11M2020 ($22.7 billion).
As a result, while remaining positive, the foreign trade balance increased on annual basis by $6.01 billion (178 percent) to nearly $9.4 billion from January through November 2021 compared to over $3.37 billion in the same period of last year.
