BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. The volume of trade turnover in Azerbaijan’s Baku increased by 4.8 percent in 1Q2022 compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 6.3 billion manat ($3.7 billion), Trend reports with reference to Baku City Statistics Department.

According to the department, sales of food, beverages, and tobacco products in the trade network of Baku increased by 13 percent in the reporting period compared to the same period last year - up to 3.6 billion manat ($2.1 billion).

Sales of non-food products increased by 4.1 percent and exceeded 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion).

According to the department, 35.3 percent of sold products were sold to enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 41 percent - to trade objects owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 23.7 percent - to markets of the capital.
