Turkiye launches pipeline construction within gas production project in Black Sea

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. Construction of a 170-kilometer pipeline to export 540 billion cubic meters of natural gas, the reserves of which were discovered in the Black Sea, has begun since June 9 in Turkiye, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.

Work continues on the construction of a natural gas processing plant in the country's Filyos city.

It’s for the first time that 6-10 wells with a daily production of 10 million cubic meters of gas will be connected to the subsea gas production system, which will be built at the Sakarya field. These 10 million cubic meters of gas will be supplied to the Turkish gas network in 2023.

The peak production is expected to be reached in 2027-2028 when, according to forecasts, 40 million cubic meters per day and nearly 15 billion cubic meters per year will be produced.
