BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11. The value of leather products’ export from Turkiye to Azerbaijan increased from January through May 2022, Turkish Trade Ministry said, Trend reports via TurkicWorld.
According to the ministry, this figure amounted to $9 million, up by 58.8 percent on annual basis.
In May this year, Turkiye exported leather products worth $1.7 million to Azerbaijan, which is 39.5 percent more than in the same month in 2021, the ministry said.
Besides, according the ministry, the total value of leather products exported from Turkiye to world markets in the first five months of 2022 grew by 26.1 percent year on year – up to $807 million.
The country exported leather products totally worth $117 million to world markets in May 2022, which is 16.1 percent more on annual basis.
During the past 12 months (from May 2021 through May 2022), leather products amounting to $1.9 billion were exported from Turkiye abroad, added the ministry.
