BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices grew from January through June 2022, Trend reports via a report of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, this figure amounted to 5.12 billion manat ($3 billion), up by 17.23 percent on annual basis.
The area of spring crops decreased by 1.35 percent (to 388,020 hectares) in the first half of this year compared to the same period of 2021.

The area under corn crops decreased by 3.9 percent in the reporting period compared to the same period last year, potatoes - by 2.4 percent, and the area under wheat increased by 91.3 percent.
Meanwhile, livestock production in Azerbaijan increased by 2.8 percent compared to 1H2021, amounting to 2.46 billion manat ($1.45 billion), and crop production – lowered by 2.7 percent, up to 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion).
Azerbaijan produced 276,800 tons of meat, 1.09 million tons of milk and 988.8 million chicken eggs from January through June 2022. The production of meat increased by 3.09 percent, milk - by 1.66 percent, and chicken eggs - by 3.94 compared to the first six months 2021.
