BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. The total number of taxpayers registered in Azerbaijan grew as of September 1, 2022, Trend reports via State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
According to the service, this figure amounted to over 1.37 million, up by 6.8 percent on annual basis.
Of the total number of taxpayers, 1.2 million were individuals (87.5 percent), and 172,449 - were legal entities and organizations (12.5 percent).
The number of individuals increased by 6.5 percent, while legal entities and organizations – by 9.2 percent compared to the period as of September 2021.
From January through August this year, 10,234 commercial organizations were registered in Azerbaijan, which is 36.8 percent more than in the same period of last year. Of these, 71.3 percent were registered online.
Besides, 76 percent of registered commercial enterprises were companies with local investments, and 24 percent - were with foreign investments.
