BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Some 250 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye from January through September 2022, up by 72 companies compared to the same period of 2021, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the information, along with the number of registered Azerbaijani companies, their total capital has also increased.
In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Azerbaijani companies in Türkiye amounted to 99.9 million Turkish liras ($5.3 million), while in the same period of 2021, this figure was 53.9 million Turkish liras ($2.9 million) in the same period of 2021.
During this time, 204 companies with Azerbaijani capital were listed in Istanbul with 76.5 million Turkish liras ($6.9 million) of overall capital.
Out of the total number of registered companies, 19 companies are involved in export, 15 - in construction, 22 - in cargo transportation, 130 - in wholesale and retail trade.
"The remaining companies operate in other sectors of the Turkish economy," TOBB said.
As many as 153 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye in 2020. Their overall capital made up 42.9 million Turkish liras ($2.3 million).
The largest number of Azerbaijani companies was registered in Istanbul in 2021.
