BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. Azerbaijan imported 10,69 tons of black tea worth $54.4 million from January through September 2022, Trend reports via Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee (SSC).
According to the statistics, this indicator is 19 percent more in value terms, and 0.1 percent less in quantity, compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, 746,220 tons of tea were imported from Russia (an increase of 4.5 percent) in the amount of $3.9 million, from India - 453,930 tons (a decrease of 35 percent) in the amount of $1.4 million, and Sri Lanka - 9,010 tons (an increase of 4.6 percent) in the amount of more than $47 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's has resumed its imports of black tea from Columbia in the reporting period of 2022, which totaled $350 (1,000 kilos).
