BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 12. Employees of state and oil and gas sectors won't receive subsidies, entered into force on January 1, 2023, said Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Nigar Vahabzade, Trend reports.

According to her, private financial institutions, cargo carriers, and companies funded by the state budget will not be subsidized.

"However, subsidies will be received by citizens working on the liberated territories and Eastern Zangezur paying compulsory state social insurance. I would also like to note the subsidizing quarterly contributions from the state budget on compulsory state social insurance paid by the insurer in favor of the insured person (employee)," she said,

According to Vahabzade, the number of subsidies for the next 10 years is as follows: from January 1, 2023, to January 1, 2026 — 100 percent, from January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2029 — 80 percent, from January 1, 2029, to January 1, 2031 — 60 percent and from January 1, 2031, to January 1, 2033 — 40 percent.

She stated that the total amount of subsidies for individual entrepreneurs will be 100 percent.

"Here I mean the compulsory state social insurance contributions that they pay for themselves. The 100 percent subsidy also applies to such individuals as hairdressers, nannies, photographers, veterinarians, and other persons specified in Article 14.5.1-1 of the law "On Social Insurance" (without the involvement of paid employees), who received a "Distinction" and a "Receipt for payment of compulsory state social insurance"," she added.
