BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Oil production in Azerbaijan in February 2023 amounted to 530,000 b/d, Trend reports citing the latest Platts survey from the S&P Global Commodity.
Azerbaijan's quota for oil production under the OPEC+ deal for February stood at 684,000 b/d.
Thus, according to S&P Global Commodity, Azerbaijan lagged behind the OPEC+ quota by 154,000 b/d in the reporting period of 2023.
Meanwhile, the report noted that Azerbaijan's oil production in January this year also totaled 530,000 b/d.
The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan has not yet provided data on oil production in the country in February 2023.
Azerbaijan's oil production in 2022 stood at 32.6 million tons (together with condensate). Exports accounted for over 26 million tons of oil, which is 4 percent, or about 1.09 million tons less than in 2021. Moreover, in 2022, Azerbaijan exported 22.3 billion cubic meters of gas out of 46.7 billion cubic meters of extracted gas.
