BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. The port of Antalya (Türkiye) received 1.6 million tons of cargo from January through June 2023, Trend reports via Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, the port of Antalya transported 82,714 tons of cargo by ships under the flag of Türkiye, and 1.5 million tons by ships under the flags of other countries.
"The Turkish port of Antalya transported 670 tons of transit cargo from January through June 2023," the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the ports of Türkiye received 33.7 million tons of cargo in June.
Cargo traffic to domestic ports on ships under the Turkish flag amounted to 2.9 million tons during this period.
"Cargo transportation of ships under the flags of other countries to Turkish ports amounted to 30.8 million tons," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, 5.9 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye in June 2023.
According to the ministry, Turkish ports received 194.5 million tons of cargo in the first half of 2023.
Cargo acceptance by vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 14.3 million tons from January through June 2023, and by ships under the flags of other countries, cargo transportation to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 180.1 million tons.
According to the available data, the ports of Türkiye transported 34.9 million tons of transit cargo from January through June 2023.
In general, Türkiye's ports received 394.9 million tons of cargo in 2022.
Moreover, cargo acceptance by vessels under the Turkish flag amounted to 28.4 million tons during this period, and by vessels under the flags of other countries, cargo transportation to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 365.6 million tons.
