Turkmenistan's Myradym company is finishing the construction of the rice processing plant in Kerki district in Turkmenistan's Lebap province, Trend reports with reference to Business - Turkmenistan agency.
The construction of the plant was launched in 2016. The capacity of the plant will be 10,000 tons of rice a year. It will be engaged in cleansing, packaging and supplying rice to the local market.
This year, the Myradym company has for the first time ever planted rice on the territory of 15 ha. The construction of the plant will be finished by the end of this year.
Rice is rich in carbohydrates and is considered one of the main foods in the countries of Central and Southeast Asia.
