Azerbaijani company records drastic fall in construction orders

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

Azerbaijan’s Alov Inshaat construction company has recorded significant drop in the number of orders for the design and construction of private houses, villas, cottages, offices and other objects since the early 2020, the company’s Director Mahammad Najafli told Trend.

According to him, this year the volume of orders plunged by 70 percent, compared to 2019, and by 40 percent compared to 2018.

Najafli said that currently the company is completing work on private houses built in the settlements of Mardakan and Novkhany near Baku.

“Construction work at these facilities will be finished within 1-2 months,” he said. “Meanwhile, the company is engaged in repair work in several private houses and administrative buildings. Since the early 2020 it fulfilled three small orders.”

In 2019, the company completed a large order from Pasha Holding company, connected with installation of iron fences on the territory of a beer plant located in the Baku White City area on an area of over 100,000 square meters.

“The company also fulfills the state orders, but since the beginning of the year no such orders have been received yet,” added the director.

Alov Inshaat has been operating in the construction market since 2004.
