Several facilities within road and urban development plan launched in Iran

The commission and construction of 10 important facilities related to road and urban development have begun in Ilam Province (western Iran), Trend reports citing IRINN.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami and other officials attended the event via video conference.

A total of 110 trillion rials (about $2.61 billion) in funds will be spent on these facilities, according to report.

“About 7 trillion rials (about $166 million) in funds spent on commissioned facilities, 22 trillion rials (about $523 million) in funds on developed facilities. And about 1 trillion rials (about $1.92 billion) in funds will be spent facilities under construction, report said.

According to report, a project to build a total of 126-kilometer controlled-access highways with an investment of 33 trillion rials (about $785 million) in funds has been launched.

“In addition, a project on connect Ilam Province to Iran's railway network has been launched with 1.6 trillion rial (about $38 million) in funds,” report added.

A total of 230 km highways have been put into operation in Ilam Province with an investment of 4.2 trillion rials (about $100 million) funds, according to report.

“About 7,900 square meters of state and public buildings were commissioned at a cost of 280 billion rials (about $6.6 million) in funds,” said the report.

Under the National Housing Plan, construction of 9,200 apartments has begun at a cost of 46 billion rials (about $1.09 million) in funds.
