Modern transport-prophylaxis center of Pocket Mechanics was opened at Kutaisi International Airport of Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.

"It is an important achievement that the modern transport-prophylactic center near Kutaisi International Airport was built during the pandemic. Some 2 million lari ($651,391) was invested in the project. The center employed 30 people. It should be emphasized that such a center has been established where there is a great potential for development," said Akaki Saghirashvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, who attended the official opening of the center.

Together with the deputy minister, the center was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi, Irakli Karkashadze, the Mayor of Samtredia Municipality, Valerian Potskhveria, and the Executive Director of "GB Holding", Shalva Khutsishvili.

"The opening of the center near Kutaisi Airport was not accidental. Our holding also unites the passenger transportation company "Georgian Bus", which has been cooperating with Kutaisi International Airport for 7 years. When the whole world returns to normal and Kutaisi Airport resumes work as usual and we will serve the passengers, all buses of "Georgian Bus" will pass the inspection in this service center. Security, as it was before, will remain a priority of our activities in the future," Khutsishvili said.

According to him, the center will be able to serve all types of vehicles - minibusses, buses, special equipment, trucks.
