By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

The government of Uzbekistan decided to create a small industrial zone on an area of 36 hectares in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.

According to the decision of Uzbekistan’s government, as an exception, compensation payments for agricultural and forestry production associated with the allocation of land plots for the creation of a small industrial zone are not subject to collection.

Enterprises for the production of import-substituting and export-oriented types of finished products, materials, and components (cables, ceramic and plastic products, metal structures), as well as processing agricultural products are located on the territory of a small industrial zone.

In June 2020, the President of Uzbekistan outlined eight key areas for ensuring the growth of the country's economy, mentioning the low share of small businesses in high-tech industries.

In addition, he set the task to develop a mechanism for state incentives for such entities and gave instructions to create small industrial zones in regions.

To date, investment projects have been developed to restore activity in the Yangiyul district based on 23 inactive objects.

At the same time, to make the fullest possible use of the rich natural and economic, mineral, raw materials, scientific, technical and labor potential of the Tashkent region, by the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan Yangiyul regional small industrial zone was created based on the former enterprise Yangiyulskaya convoy 2503.
