The number of enterprises and organizations working in the field of construction sector of Uzbekistan from January through November 2020 amounted to 40,300, which is 4,400 more than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
In the structure of construction organizations, 23,620 buildings and structures were operating in Uzbekistan for the reported period. The number of civil facilities and specialized construction objects amounted to 3,796 and 13,244, respectively.
In the structure of regions, the largest number of operating construction organizations falls on Tashkent city, amounting to 7,804, while in Tashkent region their number is almost two less – 3,540 enterprises.
The number of operating construction organizations in Kashkadarya and Fergana regions amounted to 3,285 and 3,211, respectively.
Earlier it was reported that the number of enterprises and organizations working in the field of construction sector of Uzbekistan as of November 1, 2020 amounted to 40,300 increasing by 6.7 percent compared to same period in 2019.
Tashkent city registered the largest number of construction enterprises and organizations, which accounts for 7,700. Indicator in this region increased by 17.3 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
In addition, the largest share of construction work performed by large construction organizations in the total volume of construction work falls on Tashkent city (25.3 percent) followed by Navoi region (23 percent) and Tashkent region (20.1 percent).
