Monitoring on Bird Flue Completed in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The first autumn monitoring session over the bird flu was completed in Azerbaijan on September 28, mentioned by Yolchu Khanvali, the press-secretary of the State Veterinary Service.
Similar monitoring session was held in the Absheron Peninsula, Davachi, Salyan and Agjabadi regions of Azerbaijan on September 24.
More than 10 wild birds were shot during the monitoring and were sent to the laboratory to be examined. The laboratory will announce the results on October 6.
The commission consisting of veterinary specialists, Ecology and Health Ministry and the Hunters Union are holding the monitoring sessions.
The State Veterinary Service held 8 monitoring sessions in 2007.
