Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The first monitoring over the bird flue approved absence of the virus in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Veterinary Service at the Agriculture Ministry reported.
Monitorings were held in the Absheron Peninsula, Davachi, Salyan, Agjabadi and Lankaran regions of Azerbaijan. The laboratory will announce the results on October 6. The commission consisting of veterinary specialists, Ecology and Health Ministry and the Hunters Union are holding the monitoring sessions. The next monitoring will be held on 22 October.
The State Veterinary Service held 9 monitoring sessions in 2007.
