Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend / Group of companies PALMALI, one of the world's leading shipping companies, which is keen on occulting a leasing position in media, has launched a new ambitious media project. A presentation of Pal FM radio company was held at the Istanbul historical palace Esma Sultan. Attending the ceremony were representatives from diplomatic missions, local and foreign guests, journalists, the company said.
Ibrahium Nabioglu, the Director General of PalMedia, said that at 1.10pm on 2 July PalMedia broadcast a pilot radio program at Pal FM radio station which is on air at the frequency of 99.2 in Turkey.
PALMALI is eager to occupy the top position in the media sector. Pal FM will cover not only Istanbul, but also the densely populated regions of Marmara, Izmit, Bursa, Bolu, Balikseir, Edirne and Chanakkala. The channel will have an audience of 35mln people. PALMALI spent tremendous expenses to purchase unique digital equipment and technology of new generation and collected the rich record library with the world best music samples. An official website of the channel will open in the near future will be available for users in part of the world.
The ceremony was continued with a concert in the performance of Turkish and Azerbaijani pop stars, Ajda Pekan and Roya, Eibe orchestra. The program was presented by popular presenter Bayazit Ozturk.
Mubariz Mansimov, the President of PALMALI, thanked all those who established and participated in the project.
By the end of the year PALMALI will wind up preparations for opening PAL TV and there are plans to launch one more radio channel. PAL FM and PAL TV are the first official radio and television channels established in Turkey by Azerbaijanis.
