Israeli Entrepreneurs to Closely Cooperate with AZPROMO

Israel, Jerusalem / Trend corr R. Mammadov / Israeli entrepreneurs intend to closely cooperate with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promoting Foundation (AZPROMO) in order to stimulate trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

"The memorandum on long-term, close and efficient cooperation was signed between the Union of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen of Azerbaijani Congress in Middle East and AZPROMO," the Chairman of the Union, Alex Shapiro-Suliman, said on 23 October.

The memorandum envisages exchange of information on trade and economic development, relative laws and legal regulations, including recent indexes of the development of economics and foreign trade, market demand, as well as the forecast of its prospective development, Shapiro-Suliman said.

According to him, the sides agreed to organize the first trade mission in Baku in the 1st half of 2008, which will include Israeli investors and companies interested on setting up business in Azerbaijan. Israeli companies are expected to represent tourism, agriculture, and IT fields.

The Union of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen of Azerbaijani Congress in Middle East and AZPROMO will explore all possibilities to carry out such arrangements as organization of business forums, trade and economic fairs, international exhibitions and conferences, business meetings and workshops promoting trade and economic cooperation between Israel and Azerbaijan, Shapiro-Suliman said.
