Assets of International Bank of Azerbaijan Doubled

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I. Khalilova / Between January and September 2007 the net profits of the International Bank of Azerbaijan comprised AZN 36.519mln, an increase of 2.01 times compared to the similar period in 2006, the bank said.

The bank's income comprised AZN 69.881mln as compared to AZN 39.358mln on 1 October 2006. The dividends of the banks were AZN 46.366mln, with AZN 35.147mln as rates on loan given to the legal and physical persons, and AZN 5.274mln from deposits placed at the bank. The bank obtained AZN 23.515mln from commissions on its services and AZN 4.799mln from the transactions with credit cards.

In this period, IBA's expenses made up AZN 50.823mln. The bank's expenses for payment of dividends made up AZN 17.934mln as compared to AZN 9.3mln fixed on 1 October 2006.

The NBA ended the third quarter with assets in the amount of AZN 2.345.3mln, which increased by 67.9%.

The bank's credit portfolio comprised AZN 1,414,843. The total volume of deposit of legal and physical persons made up AZN 1,616,202, including deposits of physical savings in the amount of AZN 368.639mln.

The total budget of the IBA was AZN 272.531mln, whilst the stock capital was AZN 97.939mln.

The proportion of net incomes with respect to the average remainder of the bank's assets comprised 1.86% and net incomes with respect to the average remainder in the balance capital was 18.47%.

IBA has thirty-six branches as of 1 October.
