11th Meeting of Council of International Black Sea Association of Ship-Owners in Progress in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Badalova / The 11th meeting of the Council of the International Black Sea Association of Ship-owners began in Baku on 31 October

Issues on the activities of the Association in connection to the completion of its 10th year of activities, increase of effectiveness, realization of goal-directed programs and deepening of cooperation of the Association with the marine industry of the region, will be discussed during the meeting.

The council is focused on strengthening business partnerships among the members of the Association and the participation of international organizations in marine profile. The council members will determine major directions of work for 2007-2008, estimate expenses for 2008 and the amount and duration of payment of fees.

The International Association of Black Sea Ship Owners is an international non-governmental organization in the marine industry, which has a 10-year experience in the organization of interaction of big shipping actions.

In connection with definitions and criteria, approved by the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) for International Non-governmental Organizations (INO), the International Black Sea Association of Ship Owners was one of four INOs, which was issued the status of Sector dialogue partnership for a 2-year period, which was extended for two more years.
