Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / One of the large manufacturer of the dairy products in Azerbaijan, MILK-PRO, increased the prices by 10% for 13 assortments of 44 products from 6 November, a source stated in the Company's Financial Department on 7 November.
"The price increase is explained through the issue that the prices for oil and dairy wares have been increased in the world market," the same source stated.
The price of the milk was increased by the farmers who supply milk to the Company, stated in MILK-PRO. In addition, the price increase caused raise in the cost of the butter imported by the Company from $98 to $154.
Earlier the Head of the Anti-Monopoly Department of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economic Development, Samir Dadashov, highlighted 20% price increase for oil which is linked with the tax increase for the oil producers in the world market.
MILK-PRO Ltd. was established in 1991 as an enterprise producing milk and dairy products. The cost of the Company's assets is assessed at $10mln.
