Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend U.Ismayilova / Fazil Farajov, the head of the Budget Department of Azerbaijani Finance Ministry announced the 2008 public budget expenditure during the joint meeting of five parliamentary commissions on 7 November.
The state capital investments will increase by 48.3% in 2008 as compared to 2007. Thus, capital to be directed at the development of culture, tourism and media will be increased by 30.2%, education 28.5%, social expenses and expenses of the State Social Security Fund by 25.4%, health by 18.5%, transport and communications on 9.3%, development of agriculture by 1.6%.
The 2008 public budget is expected to comprise AZN 8bln in 2008.
