In the first stage one bus will function in this route a day. But in future their number may increase.

Those Azerbaijani citizens registered in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) have a privilege of 3-month free visa. Other Azerbaijani citizens have to receive a visa. The negotiations intended to simplify the regime are underway.

The first bus functioning via the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route running through the territory of Iran started from Nakhchivan on 8 November.

The buses will run via Iran, as the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) is in Armenian blockade and the air transport is the only communication with the rest part of the country.

The route will be opened on the basis of a memorandum signed between Azerbaijan and Iran. Buses will depart from Baku international and interurban bus stations. One ticket will cost AZN 14.
