Georgia’s New Government to Retain Main Former Ministers – State Minister

Georgia, Tbilisi / Тrend corr N. Kirtskhalia / Georgia's new Government will retain its main ministers, as they showed their ability to resolve problems in the country, the acting Georgian State Minister for Coordination of Reforms Kakha Bendukidze said.

Resignation of the Georgian Government followed the resignation of Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli. The Ministers will fulfil their duties until a new government is approved.

"Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli was one of Georgia's best prime ministers, and the lion's share of the results Georgia has is the achievement of Nogaideli and the President. It is worth mentioning that the World Bank recognized Georgia's economic successes, and that is a very considerable achievement," Bendukidze said.

Bendukidze denied the reports on possible passing of Nogaideli to the National Bank. "Nogaideli has not decided where he will continue his activities," he said.
