Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / The Presidium of the Azerbaijani Bank Association (ABA) has initiated to hold one or two bank conferences in Baku on currency management and monetary business in Caucasus, the Executive Director of ABA Farhad Aliyev said on 22 November.
According to Aliyev, the members of the Presidium approved the suggestion at the meeting held on 21 November.
The conferences are expected to take place in the second quarter of 2008. The key aim of the conferences is familiarization with the region's coining history. A special illustrated collection will be published for this purpose.
"During the next meetings of the Presidium the issues will be discussed again and a time for the conferences will be specified," Aliyev said.
